I am creating these "Yoga Extras" blog posts for those of you resonating with the public yoga classes & Yoga Teacher Trainings I am leading. Inside of these blog posts you will find extra resources that support our weekly class theme. The weekly classes I guide are themed according to the season & collective energetic "weather"–This is of course influenced by many things; for instance, not only national and global events but how masses of people are feeling about and reacting to those events. It is also influenced by space weather (see spaceweather.com) & the current movement/placement of celestial bodies ie: the sun, moon, planets, nodes, stars, etc. You can find me teaching currently at Black Swan Yoga (North-Anderson) in Austin, TX. I am on the schedule as "Erika K." Mention this webpage for a free class.

Below are writing prompts based on Hafiz's poem. If you resonate with the reading, I highly suggest writing to get to a deeper truth within yourself,
n
using as a bolster the wisdom in these writings.

-
Write a narrative poem from the perspective of someone who has embraced their loneliness as a source of strength and insight. Explore how they navigate the world and find meaning in their solitude.
-
Craft a short story about two characters who initially resist their loneliness but eventually find solace and connection through embracing it. What events lead them to this realization?
-
Create a series of journal entries from the point of view of a character who is struggling with loneliness. How do their feelings evolve over time, and what epiphanies do they experience along the way?
-
Compose a dialogue between two individuals—one who sees loneliness as a burden to be avoided and another who sees it as an opportunity for growth. How do their perspectives clash, and is there a middle ground they can reach?
-
Imagine a world where loneliness is tangible, personified entity. Write a speculative fiction story where the protagonist must confront and ultimately befriend this embodiment of loneliness in order to find peace.
-
Write a reflective essay discussing the societal stigma surrounding loneliness and how it impacts individuals' perceptions of themselves. Explore ways in which this stigma can be challenged and overcome.
-
Create a series of interconnected poems exploring different facets of loneliness—its beauty, its pain, its transformative power, and its potential for healing.
-
Write a letter from a mentor figure to a younger person struggling with loneliness, offering wisdom and guidance on how to embrace and make the most of their solitude.
-
Craft a screenplay for a short film centered around a character who retreats into solitude after a personal loss. Explore how they navigate their loneliness and ultimately find redemption through self-discovery.
-
Imagine a world where loneliness is celebrated rather than feared. Write a dystopian story where society has eradicated all forms of loneliness, but at what cost? What does true connection look like in this world, and is it sustainable?
