I am creating these "Yoga Extras" blog posts for those of you resonating with the public yoga classes & Yoga Teacher Trainings I am leading. Inside of these blog posts you will find extra resources that support our weekly class theme. The weekly classes I guide are themed according to the season & collective energetic "weather"–This is of course influenced by many things; for instance, not only national and global events but how masses of people are feeling about and reacting to those events. It is also influenced by space weather (see spaceweather.com) & the current movement/placement of celestial bodies ie: the sun, moon, planets, nodes, stars, etc. You can find me teaching currently at Black Swan Yoga (North-Anderson) in Austin, TX. For all my fellow creatures of comfort out there, as I can often myself be, I am hoping this week's theme coupled with the energies of the recent new moon in leo AND 8/8/8 Lion's Gate portal, inspire us to step into the new that awaits us. And by the way, in no way do I understand the massive subject of astrology. I am such a novice in the field. But I do know that I am drawn to it, fascinated by it, and more importantly feel different openings inside of myself at various times. This past week I've experienced moments of strong incoming information (aka: aha moments and new ideas). I pay attention to such moments and these openings to help me stay in what feels to me like simply the forward moving flow of life/all creation. I certainly know what it feels like to be moving against that flow and I highly prefer to go WITH this current. So, I don't need to understand it all. I just need to stay tuned into myself in the moment. It also supports me too to learn a little at a time about these larger cosmic forces. Ah, let me not forget to mention what adds velocity to these moments of download: I do have a regular, often daily, meditation practice. Why that word scares people or turns them off, I do understand. I really do. For now, I'll just say this: for me, it's a hidden secret to life that I would not do without. Unexpected things began to happen for me when I opened to this years ago. Some things you may not even believe if I told you. I hope I piqued some gentle curiosity.
