I hope you all can open that Tik Tok above. God it made me laugh. Sometimes I just wanna hear someone bitch about how actually hard life can feel. And even better if its a yoga teacher, yes, please just tell me to bash my head into the floor because I’m so angry. 😂

Well, eclipse season has been seasoning, as life keeps on life-ing. The big peak is tonight (8/27, 11:12pm CDT) with energies lingering over the following days. I’m no astrologer, but what I do know is that word “eclipse” means to leave behind. To leave behind stories, habits, old versions of ourselves, or even a physical life.

I’ve talked to several of you this week and weighty news has hit many of you. 

The unexplainable has happened in my own life this week. 

It’s been happening in the world writ large.

Several public-facing events took place over these last few days. Many of which got my attention. The one, however that really got to me was Dolly. I heard several people online asking “whyyyy take the very best of us?'” And I fully agree, she was/is the best of us. Though I myself did not have that question of why. The physical loss of such a bright, BRIGHT being seems to me to be one more BIG act of Love on that being’s part. I both saw and felt a massive swell of Love throughout the collective. And sometimes it takes this kind of big-feeling event to transform our hearts. The sense that I have been picking up is that many of us have felt so confused about our compass. Where is our north? Where is the Truth anymore? In what I witnessed in that woman’s life, she embodied Truth. And now that she has left her body behind, that Truth is freely in the very air we breathe. I don’t know about you, but I feel changed. More encouraged and inspired, more than before, to move north. Yet another gift that she shared with many of us.

The gift inside of the gift of many of the recent events we have witnessed in this eclipse season, is the absolute bump UP in collective consciousness. Such events, like 9/11 for example, do this (see Dr David Hawkins Scale/Map of Consciousness if you’re interested in more explanation).

I have to keep such things in mind to counter balance the weight and pain and fear that I too feel. 

The reading below feels to me like the words that the moon, and perhaps even Dolly herself, wants to whisper to us now. I feel a deep, stable answer in the words. Know that I cut the final section off of the poem in order to emphasize/clarify the point I feel is trying to get to us. Look up the poem if you want to see the whole.

I can feel the toll that our current energies/my own patterning are taking on my nervous system, and I am seeking support. Aint no shame in that game. I hope we all find the support we need when we need it. It ALWAYS feels daunting for me to ask for help. If you don’t know where to turn for help, please text. It’s why I’m here. A final thing. As a big-feeling person who fights, often, scardy-cat energy, it is so so helpful for me to remember what larger cycles are at work. Just as earthly seasons cycle, there is the larger cycle of Life/Death/Life. Life transformed being all there is. So, now that the barn has burned down, we can see the moon! (Mizuta Masahide)
